Dental Health Technician

Dental Health Technician is a healthcare course that focuses on providing preventive and basic dental care services under the supervision of a dentist. Dental Health Technicians assist in promoting oral health, preventing dental diseases, and supporting dental treatment procedures.

The course trains students in oral anatomy, dental materials, infection control, dental instrumentation, chairside assisting, oral health education, and basic dental procedures. Students also learn how to maintain dental equipment, manage patient records, and observe proper hygiene and safety standards in dental clinics.

Entry Requirements

Candidates must possess any of the following qualifications:

  • GCE
  • WAEC
  • NECO
  • NABTEB

Applicants must have at least five (5) credit passes, which must include English Language, Biology, Mathematics, and any two of the following subjects:

  • Chemistry
  • Physics
  • Geography
  • or other relevant science subjects
