Environmental Health

Environmental Health is a course that focuses on protecting and improving human health by managing environmental factors that can affect well-being. It involves the prevention and control of environmental hazards such as poor sanitation, unsafe water, improper waste disposal, pollution, and unhealthy living conditions.

The course trains students to identify environmental health risks, enforce public health laws, promote sanitation and hygiene, and ensure safe environments for communities. Key areas of study include environmental sanitation, water supply and safety, waste management, food hygiene, housing inspection, occupational health, and disease control.

Entry Requirements

Candidates must possess any of the following qualifications:

  • GCE
  • WAEC
  • NECO
  • NABTEB

Applicants must have at least five (5) credit passes, which must include English Language, Biology, Mathematics, and any two of the following subjects:

  • Chemistry
  • Physics
  • Geography
  • or other relevant science subjects
